Preview: Chicago
August 3, 2009

One week in Chicago during St. Patty’s Day weekend and I knew this is what I was looking for in a city! No, Chicago isn’t exactly foreign (one can argue), but it’s my first and last stop within the United States, and I can’t think of a better place to visit. Chicago is home to the basketball team the Bulls (ha…. go Lakers), the Sears Tower (nobody will EVER call it the Willis Tower), Kanye West, Common, our 44th President, Oprah, and an Irish Pub for every man, woman, and child. The winter is cold so you’ll want to drink to keep yourself warm when you’re waking up till just before you realize you had one too many and throw up on a good friend. Like most people, I like getting drunk and have spent many wild nights here in the past, so let’s see what trouble I can get myself into this time around. mixing drinks sometime around 8am still enjoying drinks sometime around 3am

Things to expect: Riding the CTA and enjoying the “CTA smell”, walking instead of driving, Chicagoan accent

Downtime: museum of contemporary art, chilling at the “beach”, baseball game, Threadless warehouse

Mandatory: deep dish pizza, hot dogs, and the local “312” beer. Also my good friends Ivy and Victor Is Chicago the best city in the US or am I just crazy. Post your top 3 US cities in the comments!
